Let me start by saying this is not going to be my paycheck for every month to come because there were a lot of special circumstances pertaining to it. As most of you know I just upgraded to captain on the CRJ at Skywest. Well After I took my type rating on June 28th I start receiving Captain pay. I can't work as a full-fledged captain until I complete 35-50 hours of initial operating experience (IOE) with a check airman. With all the new hires and upgrades the IOE instructors were backed up. It currently is about a month behind. I could have sat at home and had a month off and got paid my 75 hours of monthly guarantee or picked up trips as an FO at time and a half captain pay on top of my minimum monthly guarantee. Well, I decided to pick up trips as a FO and get paid more than my captain and flight attendant combined. I got paid my 75 hours of minimum guarantee at $60 an hour and everything I picked up was at $90 an hour. So one way of looking at it is I was paid $150 an hour for the first 75 hours and $90 after that. I was able to pick up a total of 94.5 hours of trips. I'll include a copy of my schedule below. I had a total of 14 days off and made $14,367.81 for 94.5 hours of work. Not too bad huh? When I started at Skywest 2 years ago I was in training 5 days a week during this same month and made zero. I wasn't paid while in training at Skywest. I can't complain too much because in two year I went from making zero to over 14 thousand. I also included my $602 bonus in this total. Now that I've been at Skywest over two years I also get a profit sharing bonus each quarter which is based on how much I made that quarter. My IOE started Aug 2nd so no more gravy train for me. It was fun while it lasted.

Check with ExpressJet Jeremy at the end of the month... He's making a strong run on your $14K.
