Default Chris' Intro

Hi Clint.

My name is Chris Deines, I am 18 years old, living in Springfield, MO. I just got my private pilot license March 16th of this year and am now working on my instrument. I've had some contact about ATP flight school. It looks like a pretty good flight school to go through. I am just wanting some information, if you dont mind, on how you became so successful and a ATP? Who do you fly for now??

Thanks for your time.

Chris Deines

Chris,

Welcome to the forums. I'm currently a Captain for Skywest Airlines on the CRJ series. I love my job. To become successful in this career it takes a strong passion for flying, dedication, and some hard work. If this is something you love, then you'll defiantly make it happen. Like most things when I was in school, if I liked it or was interested in it I did well. If it was something I hated or didn't care much about, I did poorly. You'll get back what you put into this. I quit a great job in a hospital, and jumped right into ATP and this career. It was a little scary at first but something I was passionate about. It's worked out great for me so far.

Thanks for taking the time to make your first post. These forums are a great place to get up-to-date information from professional pilots. I wish I had this tool when I was starting out. Please take the time to post all your questions and I’ll do my best to answer them. With me being on the road and traveling a lot it might take me a couple of days to answer you. The only request I have is to separate out each question into it’s own thread so others searching can easily find it.

Thanks, and again welcome to the forums.

Clint
