Well I decided to take my commercial written a few days early. I passed it with a 91.... Not what I was looking for, but thats ok. I feel good about it and where I'm at. I'm ahead of schedule by about three days. So its on to studying for the FIA and AGI. I'll be home free after that!!! Press on...

Awesome!
You'll be pretty happy when you're in the program and able to really devote your study time more along the lines of the applicable training, without worrying about late nights prepping for the written tests. FIA and AGI have plenty of similarity so that should keep that prep straightforward. Another things you can do while studying is mark the questions that you learn for the test, but don't fully understand yet. Go back to them while you're preparing for the relevant rating and make sure you know them then, or get some help so you get them figured out. |

Good afternoon Ken, I was told by Scott that you are my career pilot coach. Any advice and knowledge will be greatly appreciated. I am pursuing my life long dream, just the other day I took my first flight intro lesson and I actually got to fly a plane for the first time in my life. It was awesome! I never felt such a rush, it's a feeling that is totally undescribable. Well, i hope to be starting at ATP soon, once i'm out the military.

Hi Oscar,
Welcome! What are you up to over in Twentynine Palms? USMC ground or air, or something similar? I never got out there (ex-Navy) but have many friends who spent some time there... not exactly paradise from what I've heard ![]() I'm here to help out and hopefully answer any questions that you may have about the process of getting into professional flying, what the field is like, or any training-related issues you may have questions about. If you could, post each of your questions as a new thread. If you put a relevant title on it, it will help you and others look through old threads and possibly help answer some questions or bring up new ones to ask. Well, how much longer do you plan on being in the service? Also, what airport did you fly from for your intro lesson? I've been in and out of a few airports around there. Again, welcome to the forums, and thanks for your service! |
