My aviation background began in Conroe, Texas. I was a school teacher at the time, looking for a change in my career. My husband was the one to introduce me to flying. He took us up on our second date flying around Texas A&M University, where we both went to school. Not a bad way to impress a girl! I was hooked, on flying that is...so I began working on my private pilot license any chance I had. It took me 1 1/2 years to get my private pilot license.

Once I made the decision to go all the way with flying, I called ATP along with every other flight school in the nation. After doing ALL my research I decided to go with ATP. I went through the 90 day career program out of Arlington, TX. I finished in exactly 90 days, and jumped right into finding a job as a flight instructor. Within a week I had a job at an airport back home where I received my private, and had my resume sent to ATP for a flight instructor position. I received the phone call within a few weeks to come and instruct for ATP. I instructed for ATP at their Houston location from November of 2004 until July of 2005.

I left ATP with 500 hours total time for a job with PSA Airlines as a First Officer. It took me one year exactly from when I began at ATP as a student to a First Officer position at PSA Airlines. I am currently enjoying life on the East Coast. I hope to be able to help others out in any way I can. We all had our share of questions and concerns when we first began, so ask away!
