John,
If you could forward this message to Express Jet Roger. He mentioned this book by Richie Lengel as one he wished he had before he started flying and said it would be a good book to purchase. Just wanted to let him know that it was included in my Box O' Books that I received just a couple of weeks ago. I've only got 11 more days before I start in Atlanta with my time building, I'm excited but a little overwhelmed still have a lot to try and study before starting. Also, I haven't flown in awhile and was trying to decide if I needed to try and go up before I report for time building or just save that money and spend that time studying. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot to you as well as all the other coaches for all the great advice. Derek |

Hi Derek-
Thank you for the post. I'll let Roger know. He is right, by the way, that is a GREAT book! You'll definitely use it a bunch as you progress through training. As for your question about getting back up in the plane before starting at ATP.... Particularly if you have some time building to do with ATP anyway, I would recommend you spend your time studying, studying, STUDYING! The more prepared you are when you show up, the better. I'm sure you've seen all the posts here recommending that you knock out some knowledge exams before showing up for your first day. I highly recommend this. I also recommend you show up to your first day at ATP being VERY familiar with the Piper Seminole training supplement. I'm sure you'll have a great time at ATP.....let us know how things go! John |

Derek,
Thank you for the props. I only wish I knew that that ATP sent them to you in the Box-O-Books; I wouldn’t have been recommending my guys to go out and buy the book. I remember how much it cost and wow it was a lot for a guy trying everything he could just to save up money to eat let alone buy a book. But what else would I expect from ATP, they really know what great knowledge is out there and they do everything they can to get it into your hands. Again, thank, and thank you John for passing this on to me. Roger |
