Default Any Last Advice

Hey Bob, how are ya? Just thought I'd check in with you and see how things are. My wife and I are busy packing, and we will be leaving Logan, UT tomorrow afternoon, we will drive to SLC to pick up her Mom and aunt who will be driving to PHX to help us move in, and we plan on leaving the SLC area around 7-8 pm, to drive all night to PHX. We figure it'll be a cooler drive at night plus our kids should sleep the whole time.
Also, just wondering if you had any last advice for me before I begin the ACPP on the 15th? In regards to the writtens, I took the IRA, and FII tests, and will be ready to take the CAX within the first week I start, and I'll be studying after that for the FIA and FOI.

And to everyone else with any advice, please don't hesitate to chime in. And eventhough I'm moving down with my family, and am signed up for the 10 month program, I'd still like to know who else will be starting the program in PHX within the next month? Because I'd still like to be able to get together with you all to study.

Well, ya'll take care. Look forward to seeing some of you in PHX.

Chad

"Mel,
Hey my name is Chad. I've been following your progress since you started the ACPP. You've done an amazing job. Congrats also on passing your airplane checkride. Good luck with IOE..

While following your progress, it's helped me, and also many others to focus on our future goals. I really appreciate you keeping everyone informed on both your progress through ATP's program as well as through your training at AE. My wife and I flew to PHX last week, and I had my interview last thursday. Everything went really good. I am now just waiting for the phone interview.(Hopefully any day now). My wife and I are thinking about moving our family (1 boy and a girl on the way) down to PHX this summer to start the program, but after checking out the prices, we might be looking elsewhere. But I am really excited about getting started. Pending the phone interview of course.

Well, I just thought I would say HI right quick. Congrats again on your training at AE. And good luck in the future. Take care man.

Chad"

Hey Chad.....

I want to first apologize because I was searching through some of your previous posts and found this one above that you typed to me a while back and I'm Sorry I Missed It.

So it looks like a lot has progressed since that post. You have some writtens banged out, you are making the move to PHX and starting your journey. CONGRATS!!!! Have fun and good luck. I really like the PHX location and I still know a few instructors out there. Be ready for a "hot" summer.....

I am glad my posts helped you out. When you have time, sneak in a post here and there so we know how things are going for you. Your posts might be able to help out someone who is planning on being in your shoes ya know. Well take it easy. Drive Safe. Fly Safe. Remember to take each step in the program one day at a time and you will do just fine. There is a good amount of "stuff" to accomplish and if you look too far ahead it may get overwhelming. Keep knocking the writtens out early and have them done as soon as possible. You will thank yourself for that....believe me....

Talk at you later.

Hey there Mel,
Good to hear from you. First off, no need to apologize for missing the post that I sent awhile ago. I know you were very busy at the time, so no worries. I understand that AE is getting rid of their fleet of Saab's. Is that true? If so, when do you begin training on the jet?

Well, it's Friday the 11th now. We arrived here in PHX Tuesday morning around 11 am. We left SLC, UT around 10pm the night before, and approximately 13 hours later, with no sleep in between, we made it here. Very hot and humid, but we'll get by.

I start the program next Tuesday the 15th. I've also been studying the seminole supplement, as well as the CAX written, which I should be ready to take next week. But I'll keep things posted on how I progress through the program.

Well, gotta run. Take care and fly safe.

Chad
