Hey there Steve...
I'm a glass is half full type of guy... so my initial reaction to a question like this is typically something along these lines; Nope... not to old at all! Seriously though, we have several "coaches" right here on this forum who didn't even start until they were older than you. In addition the FAA has just increased the mandatory retirement age for airline pilots, so if you were to get on with an airline by the time you were 40-42... then you'd still have 20+ years in this industry. If you got yourself a corporate gig... then the age 65 rule does not apply, and you can continue to fly as long as you can hold your "medical". By that time, you'll have to have to have your "medical" renewed every 6 months by having a routine flight physical done by an AME (Aviation Medical Examiner) in order to maintain flight privledges. What are you thinking so far? Bob
