Hey Chris i now i just wanted to see how the atp environment is. I am looking forward to going to atp when i am finished with school. I wanted to now what a Digital AOA readout was when im flying my flight simulator and flying the Boeing 737-800 as i pitch up it goes up is it used to show how much back pressure you are putting on the yoke ??
I don't now if you saw it in my last post but did you here about the new 757 that they are considering. I am planning on going to the atp in Jacksonville i have family that lives their so i can stay with them. As for my PPL im going to start it in about a week and finish it up in the next 9 to 11 months im going to go slow because of work and other things i have to do. I reely appreciate you taking the time to answer my posts this has reely helped me with my goal and my dream. Thanks adam |

Adam,
My airplane does not have an AOA, but I am familiar with it. An AOA meter is an angle of attack meter, it shows the angle of attack of the chord line of the airplane relative to the relative wind. I have never used one though, they really are only found on military airplanes, not civilian ones. I had not heard about the new 757, but it sounds pretty interesting. That is great that you are planning on starting your training soon, let me know after you take your first lesson. Chris |

I should be starting in about two weeks im going to go slow thou. I have been reading a lot about the aviation world lately and it looks like to me that when i become a pilot their will be a lot of nice airplanes the new 787 and the Boeing 747-800 are nice and the crj-1000 that their coming out with is going to be replacing the dc-9 and md-83. Have yo been flying the classics lately or the new generation
Thanks Adam |

Hey Chris hows everything been going ?
Well i have decided that im going to be enrolling into either navy or air force ROTC. I am going to go to eastern Michigan university and getting a degree in aviation flight technology and a minor in military flight science the whole thing will be about 85 grand but i am applying for the ROTC scholarships iv Benn very busy this year as it is my last year of high school applying for collage and the air force i talked with my parents and i think that this is the best way for me to go and after i get commissioned i will apply for flight training i have always wanted to go into the air force and it is a very rewarding career Adam |

Adam,
I was wondering what had happened to you, it is good to know that you are still around. I am glad to hear that you are finalizing your college and career plans. Once you have a plan it is important to stick with it. Serving the armed forces can be a very rewarding career and it dosn't pay too badly either. Keep me updated please. Thanks. Chris |
