Hi,
I know a guy who is interested in starting flight training. In january, he was in an auto accident and hurt his neck. He has told me that the doctor has told him that because his spinal cord was mildly impacted, that he will have a permanent patial disability of (I think he said) 10%. Frank says that he has no problems except for an occasional headache. Would that disqualify him from a first class medical? |

Tim,
That is a question that I really can not answer. Your friend needs to consult a FAA Medical Examiner. He can find one by going to www.faa.gov or can talk to one online at www.myflightsurgeon.com Sorry that I can not be of more help here, but this is definetly outside my realm of knowledge. Chris |
