Question questions about starting up

Hi, I wanted to know since I am 18. I wanted to know how long it would take me to become a pilot if I started to go to ATP or started to persue being a pilot? I also don't have any expirience with flying a plane or anything like that. So I want to know if you said that the traing takes 5 months how much would the training cost and if I need to have any type of expirience before hand. Because it sounds too easy.

Eduardo,

It is difficult to say exactly how long it would take you to get hired by an airline. I can say that your training with ATP will take five months. The period of time in which you build flight time on your own is what is the variable. Most people instruct anywhere from six months to two years before getting hired at an airline. I instructed for one year before ExpressJet hired me.

The basic cost of going from zero hours to being a flight instructor is $61,000, with ATP. Financing is available for those who qualify. You can go to www.atpflightschool.com for more specific pricing guides. I know it sounds easy, but there is alot of hard work that goes into being a pilot, but it is definetly an attenable dream for those who work hard.

Chris
