Terry,
So guess whose smiling face I saw on the inside the cover of the Summer 2008 issue of ASA's "Among Friends"? You! Guess someone here in the ATL thought you guys were actually putting in an honest day's work down there in GNV! I'll tell you one thing's for sure--that elderly Korean couple owes you more than a hand shake and a Korean "thanks!" I'm telling you, you keep that attitude as a pilot, you'll be an absolute pleasure to fly with. I can't tell you what a drag it is to be around people that couldn't care less about the level of customer service they're offering on a daily basis. We're in a service industry. The sale of our "product" depends entirely on the efforts of the people who work for us. It's always refreshing to see people that care! Good work! >Matt |

Hey Matt,
Thank You for the compliment. I do agree that customer service is an important thing no matter which department you are in. Unfortunatley there are some employees in departments whether its ACS, Inflight, or Flight Operations that don't show a good level of customer service to our passengers. I agree it is a total drag. But it's people like you and I who pick up the slack and try to do our best to exceed our customer's expectations. Plus it makes you feel good at the end of the day knowing you did something good. Thank you again for noticing and see you on the 16th. How are things going by the way? |

I'm so ready to go. I'll be starting October 6th in JAX. I'll be taking my Knowledge Exam at my local FBO tomorrow. I've been taking the Kings School course. I've been scoring in the mid to high 80's. I'm aiming for a 100. I hope to get at least a 90. I'll just do my best. I'll keep everyone posted on my progress throughout training.

Terry,
October 6 sounds great--weather in JAX should be tolerable at that point. I started the Private Program in JAX in June and the heat was brutal. You're probably used to it, though! Do let me know how the test goes! Good luck! >Matt |
