Default Tokyo getaway

Hey Everyone,

I decided to take a quick trip to Tokyo, Japan these past few days. I had four days off in a row and thought it would be a nice birthday present to myself. I just got back today and I see there have been quite a few new posts. I apologize for the delay in responding and I will get right to them.

Tokyo was awesome by the way. I've never been there before and it was really cool. I got a free seat in a 747 on United Airlines both there and back. Gotta love these travel perks. I basically had no plan except a couple of suburbs I wanted to check out. Nothing booked, no reservations, nothing. Just a good travel book on Tokyo by Lonely Planet Publications and I figured it out as I went along. Four days - four hundred bucks and some cool photos.

I'll get to those posts.

Regards,

Michael

Do you get any seat available? I.E. First Class, Business Class, or Economy? Can you fly free with any CASS participant?

Hey Ron,

Yeah, it's pretty cool. I do fly for free in the CASS system. The deal is that you are on standby, and they like to put paying customers ahead of you. But they always do a great job of hooking you up. And as a final resort when all the cabin seats are full, you are authorized to sit in the jumpseat in the cockpit for domestic flights.

It's a pretty cool deal and if you commute it can be a real lifesaver.
