Hi Donald,

Welcome to the forums.

What kind of trouble? Trouble finding a flight school, choosing one, getting a student medical, finding a location, scheduling an introductory flight, securing financial loans, getting time off from the present career, etc.

Could you help me out and be a little more specific?

Regards,

Michael

Michael

Thanks for your response. My trouble is with securing financial loans. Are there any suggestions you have on this?

Thanks much.

Hi Donald,

A financial genius I am not. I would suggest calling the ATP 800 # to get a starting point. I know there are loan options, outside scholarship potential from 3rd party aviation groups, etc.

I was fortunate that I was able to take a student loan out by myself without a co-signer. That was 4 years ago and as you can imagine the economy and interest rates have changed a lot since then.

There are options, don't give up hope.

Regards,

Michael

Hi Donald,

I posted a thread about my loan repayment specifics. Maybe you have already taken a look at it. It shows the balance, terms, rates, and repayment schedule. I thought it may be helpful to show exactly what we are getting ourselves into here without the sugar coating. It's just a bare bones here is my monthly payment, now that I have completed the program.

If you discover any loan info that would be helpful to others in the same boat please feel free to share that knowledge with us. We really do appreciate the spreading of good information.

Does it look like you'll be needing a co-signer?

Regards,

Michael

Michael,

As usual thanks for the info. I think I may need a co-signer, not positive. I'm exploring all types of options. Will be more than happy to share whatever I come up with.

Donald
