Hey Eric,
As of right now, the regionals have slowed down on hiring. This is mainly due to a slumping economy and the increase of fuel prices in previous months. As of lately, fuel has become cheaper which is a good sign. Just like the economy, the airlines are very cyclical. I think it will only be a short matter of time before the airlines start hiring in full force. My instinct and gut tells me that the jobs will be there at the beginning of the new year or shortly after that. Truth be told, you may have to instruct for a little while until that job opportunity shows up. Of course, there are other job's out there that you could do if you know that instructing is not for you. Some pilots fly night cargo, tow banners, weather reporting, pipeline patrol, etc. in order to build enough experience to be elgible for the airlines. Any of this sound appealing to you? You never know; I didn't think I would enjoy instructing as well but I found myself enjoying it immensely once I got into it. I sometimes miss instructing even now when I'm flying with Eagle. Hope this helps out. Kevin |

Hey Eric,
It's been a while since I've heard anything from you. How are things going? Have you made any further progress in the cockpit as of lately? Definitely let me know if I can help you in any way. Kevin |
