Well Hello Dan!
I hope the skies are treating you well. Everyday I keep seeing airplanes fly overhead and just wish it was me. I am currently working at a Boys and Girls Club in my town and apparently we are on a popular route for pilots because they fly over our heads constantly when we are out playing in our nearby park! It is motivation to stick to my guns and deal with the little twerps everyday. ( they are middle schoolers... need I say more) I keep saying in the back of my mind.... January-January-January---- :-)
Well thanks for those written test web sites. I looked both of them over and saw some of the books the company's sell.
So am I to understand that I am to buy these books, study for a test and then pay to take the test at some location? Forgive me for asking but... Isn't that what I'll be learning at flight school?
And I saw other books for sale besides the Private Pilot Course. Should I buy the whole sequence of books needed for the multi engine and instrumental ratings as well as anything else I will need to take a test on before arriving at ATP?
Once I've studied for these tests where do I take them? Any local airport? And does ATP reimburse you for the books or just the test?
Ok Ok last question for you today! :-) Don't you LOVE my LONG E-mails!??!?
A kid was telling me that because of 9/11/01 pilots are not allowed to leave the cock pit while in flight...I thought about it and to my knowledge I have not seen a pilot leave the cabin since 9/11/01, which lead him to ask his next question and now mine for you.... "If you are on a 4 hour flight and need to use the "HEAD" (military lingo) what do you do, cuz I know you don't have one up in the C-pit."
Just a random Q for ya! :-)
Hope all is well with you,,,,, and I truly do appreciate all the input you have been providing me. It is invaluable. I tell all sorts of people about our little chats! And bits of info I now know thanks to you!
Until next time Dan,
God Bless---
